The Nanlite FL-20G Fresnel Lens is a professional Bowens Mount light-shaping attachment designed to transform compatible LED spotlights into powerful, controllable Fresnel-style sources.

Featuring a large glass Fresnel lens and an adjustable focusing barrel, the FL-20G allows the beam angle to be continuously adjusted from a tight 10° spot to a wide 45° flood. In spot position, it concentrates the fixture's output into a significantly brighter and more directional beam, providing greater throw when lighting subjects from a distance.

The standard Bowens Mount makes the FL-20G compatible with a wide range of Nanlite fixtures, including selected Forza, FC and FS-series lights. It is particularly well suited to high-output Forza fixtures when a traditional cinema Fresnel-style beam is required.

Removable metal barn doors provide additional control over spill and allow the beam to be shaped directly at the fixture.

Increased Light Output

One of the biggest advantages of the FL-20G is its ability to concentrate the output of a COB LED fixture.

For example, Nanlite specifies that when the Forza 300B II is fitted with the FL-20G and set to the 10° spot position, output can reach approximately 151,000 lux at 1 metre.

This makes the Fresnel especially useful when the light needs to travel a greater distance or when a strong, controlled source is required without moving the fixture closer to the subject.

Spot-to-Flood Control

The FL-20G uses a rotating barrel mechanism to change the position of the Fresnel optic.

At 10° Spot, the light becomes narrow, concentrated and highly directional.

At 45° Flood, the beam becomes significantly wider, allowing a larger area of the scene to be illuminated.

Positions between spot and flood can be selected continuously, giving the lighting technician precise control over the beam.

Hard Light & Defined Shadows

The FL-20G is an excellent choice when you want strong highlights, defined shadows and directional light.

It can be used directly for a harder cinematic look or combined with flags, cutters, diffusion frames and bounce materials for more sophisticated light shaping.

The included barn doors provide an additional level of control directly at the fixture and are useful for reducing unwanted spill.

The LED fixture, light stand, safety cable and other grip or lighting accessories are included only when specified in the rental package.

Compatibility should always be confirmed for the specific LED fixture being used. Although the FL-20G uses the standard Bowens Mount, not every Bowens Mount fixture is necessarily suitable for every large Fresnel attachment due to differences in COB position, heat output and physical construction.

Vienas pagrindinių FL-20G privalumų – galimybė sukoncentruoti COB LED šviestuvo šviesą ir ženkliai padidinti jos intensyvumą.

Pavyzdžiui, Nanlite nurodo, kad naudojant Forza 300B II kartu su FL-20G ir nustačius Fresnel į 10° Spot padėtį, šviesos intensyvumas 1 metro atstumu gali siekti apie 151 000 lux.

Tai ypač naudinga, kai objektą reikia apšviesti iš didesnio atstumo arba reikalingas stiprus, koncentruotas šviesos šaltinis.

Spot-to-Flood reguliavimas

FL-20G turi sukamą fokusavimo mechanizmą, leidžiantį keisti Fresnel optikos padėtį.

10° Spot padėtyje gaunamas siauras, koncentruotas ir labai kryptingas šviesos pluoštas.

45° Flood padėtyje šviesa paskleidžiama gerokai plačiau ir galima apšviesti didesnę scenos dalį.

Tarp Spot ir Flood padėčių šviesos kampą galima reguliuoti sklandžiai, todėl operatorius gali tiksliai pasirinkti reikiamą šviesos plotį.

Jį galima naudoti tiesiogiai kietesniam kino apšvietimui arba kartu su flag'ais, cutter'iais, difuziniais rėmais ir atšvaitais dar tikslesniam šviesos formavimui.

Metalinės užuolaidėlės suteikia papildomą kontrolę tiesiai prie šviestuvo ir padeda sumažinti nepageidaujamą šviesos sklidimą.

Nors FL-20G naudoja standartinį Bowens Mount tvirtinimą, ne kiekvienas Bowens Mount šviestuvas yra tinkamas kiekvienam dideliam Fresnel priedui dėl skirtingos COB elemento padėties, šilumos išskyrimo ir fizinės konstrukcijos.
