The Nanlite Halo 14U is a compact 14-inch bi-color LED ring light with a built-in rechargeable Li-ion battery, designed for beauty photography, portraits, makeup, interviews, vlogging, live streaming and social media production.

Unlike the standard Halo 14, the Halo 14U has an integrated rechargeable Li-ion battery.

At full brightness, the internal battery provides approximately 1.5 hours of operation, making the fixture particularly convenient when working away from mains electricity.

For longer studio sessions, the Halo 14U can also be operated using its AC power adapter.

This combination makes it suitable for both permanent studio setups and quick mobile productions.

Adjustable 2700K–6500K Color Temperature

The Halo 14U offers a wide 2700K–6500K adjustable color-temperature range.

At the warm end, the light can be matched to warm interior and tungsten-style sources. Moving toward 5600K provides a daylight-style balance, while the upper end of the range allows even cooler illumination when required.

Brightness is independently adjustable from 0 to 100%, allowing the intensity to be changed without moving the fixture closer to or farther away from the subject.

Soft Beauty Light

The circular arrangement of LEDs surrounds the camera position with light, producing smooth frontal illumination and reducing strong facial shadows.

This makes the Halo 14U particularly effective for beauty, makeup and portrait work, where even illumination across the face is desirable.

Positioning the camera or smartphone near the centre of the ring also produces the characteristic circular reflection in the subject's eyes.

Color Accuracy

With a rated CRI of 95 and TLCI of 93, the Halo 14U provides good color reproduction for photography and video.

Smartphone & Mirror Setup

The Halo 14U was designed with content creation and beauty work in mind and can be used with a smartphone bracket or mirror positioned in the centre of the ring.

With a smartphone mounted centrally, the lens remains close to the axis of the light, creating even illumination ideal for talking-head videos, tutorials, live streams and social media.

A mirror can instead be mounted for makeup and beauty applications.

Fanless Operation

The Halo 14U uses passive cooling, meaning there is no cooling fan producing unwanted noise.
