The D2 offers a 10-stop power range from 1Ws to 1000Ws, adjustable in 0.1-stop increments. Its rapid recycling time of 0.03 to 1.2 seconds helps maintain an efficient shooting pace, while Freeze mode provides extremely short flash durations for capturing fast movement with exceptional clarity.

Built-in Profoto AirTTL allows wireless TTL operation, High-Speed Sync, manual power adjustment, and remote control when used with a compatible Profoto transmitter. The flash also features a powerful 300W halogen modelling light, making it easy to preview the direction and character of the light before shooting.
