How do I book?

Booking means you accept our rental terms after reading the contract.

Is estimate free?

Estimates are free only if you confirm the project; otherwise, it costs €30.

Who delivers the equipment?

Clients must collect the equipment from our headquarters or specified place (at extra costs); renter signs the delivery note or confirms by email.

Where can I use equipment?

Use is allowed only within Lithuania unless authorized otherwise.

Am I responsible for damage?

Yes, if you book some equipment or hire an assistant and cancel 24, 48, 72 hours before the job you will pay in full 100% ( 24h, 48h ) or partially 50% ( 72h, 96h ) for our services.

What if equipment is lost or stolen?

Notify us within 24 hours by registered letter; you are liable for costs as per inventory value.

There is any cancellation fee?
What happens if I bring back the equipment wet or dirty or not organized as it was at the time of the delivery?

Yes, you must insure equipment against all risks during rental and transit.

In this circumstances, we apply an extra fee of 30euros per hour for drying, cleaning, tidying up our equipment so it could be ready for the next client, the same way we gave it to you.

Rental and hiring terms

Welcome to Paparazzi Studio

HIRE CONDITIONS / TERMS AND CONDITIONS

0. The rental and booking implies acceptance without reservation of our general rental /

booking conditions, after having read this contract. You might get it via email or any

other digital form (Facebook, Intagram, Messenger, etc.), with the delivery note and / or

separately from the cost estimate in a single PDF file.

0A. Due to the time needed to plan lighting, the Cost is estimate is free of charge only in

case the project is confirmed otherwise the price for 1 cost estimate is equal to 30euros.

DELIVERY

1- The equipment taken over by the renter or on his behalf is considered accepted or

recognized in perfect condition and fully working.

2- The renter must communicate the date of return of the rented equipment and any

subsequent and possible change of the same date.

3- The equipment is delivered to the renter at the ALESSANDRO SOZZI headquarters (or

another specified place if Delivery is Requested), which issues regular delivery note. The

copy of the letter will be returned to ALESSANDRO SOZZI signed by the renter or by those

responsible for taking over. A "confirm" by email would be also considered equal to

signing the letter.

4 - The fee of the equipment start from the day of delivery or collection.5- The transportation of the equipment is always the responsibility of the renter / client

unless clearly specified in the contract between two parties.

RENTAL

6- The rented equipment can be used in LITHUANIA only. In case of use abroad the

renter agrees to ask to ALESSANDRO SOZZI a written authorization and the preparation of

the related documentation.

7- The renter, when received the rented equipment, is responsible at having an

irrevocable insurance policy against damage, in favour of ALESSANDRO SOZZI, according

to the value indicated by ALESSANDRO SOZZI or resulting from the inventory of the rented

equipment. The insurance must include all risks of transportation by car, train, ship, plane

and all risks due to damage caused by atmospheric events, accidents, etc., including the

loss of the equipment.

8 - In case of loss, deterioration, theft, fire of the equipment, the conductor/renter must

notify ALESSANDRO SOZZI within 24 hours from the moment in which the event takes

place by registered letter. The renter is responsible for the equipment up to the value

indicated by the ALESSANDRO SOZZI or inventory, according to point (7). ALESSANDRO

SOZZI can request the immediate compensation of the material and the payment of the

relative fee at any time. If the renter has carry out the obligations that precede the

indemnity paid or due to ALESSANDRO SOZZI from insurance, the equipment will be paid

or will be sold to the renter himself.

9- Any failure or breakage of the material during the rental, it will be repaired by

ALESSANDRO SOZZI or from the manufacturer of the equipment and debited to the

renter. The renter undertakes not to modify, or to have it modified by third parties or not

to repair, or to have the rented equipment repaired by third parties, unless otherwise

agreed in writing by ALESSANDRO SOZZI.

10- The renter agrees, remaining responsible for the value of the equipment, the renter

must inform all third party creditors who act for fore closure or other executive or

precautionary measure of the rented material, that the material is owned by ALESSANDRO

SOZZI, communicating to it any actions taken by third parties.11- In the case of special equipment rental, the renter must hire a ALESSANDRO SOZZI

technician to be employed or ALESSANDRO SOZZI himself, with functions of consignee,

stops any liability of the tenant himself, pursuant to Art. 2049 of the Italian Civil Code.

12- The material provided for hire by ALESSANDRO SOZZI is prepared in accordance with

current regulations and the renter who will provide for the installation and connections,

also through third parties, must scrupulously observe the safety regulations for what

concerns him, assuming all and full criminal responsibility, civil and fiscal. The renter

undertakes, with insurance policy or by responding personally, to refund damages to

things or to people, employees or strangers, caused by accidents originating from the

rented equipment or its use.

13- No discount of fee or reduction of the duration of the rental will be allowed to the

renter due to the forced immobilization of the equipment, both for reasons of

interruption of the filming, both for production delay, and for any other cause.

14- For defects or breakdowns of the rented equipment, even coming from hidden

defects, the renter can not expect the pure and simple replacement of the piece and, in

case of impossibility to replace without delay, the exchange with equivalent material,

without right no compensation for failure to use the rented property.

15– ALESSANDRO SOZZI assumes no responsibility for delayed deliveries (operating

defects or total or partial claims occurring during shooting), or that cause the stop of

shooting, being the rental rates independent of the value or the realization of the film

produced with the help of the rented equipment. ALESSANDRO SOZZI excludes any

warranty or liability for any direct or indirect damage suffered by the renter or third party,

as a result of the inefficient operation of the rented equipment (damage to the

equipment, missing or delayed shooting, etc.)

RETURN

16 - The material must be returned in working conditions, tidy and in perfect condition

and organzed as delivered.

17 - The material must be returned to the ALESSANDRO SOZZI headquarters UNLESS

specified.18 - The freight ends on the day of delivery.

19 - Partial deliveries of parts of the same appliance are not accepted; the rental days will

be calculated until full and complete return of the material.

20 - In the event that the equipment is damaged, the renter must pay compensation

equivalent to the rental price for the duration of the repair work.

20b. - In the event that the equipment is damaged, the renter must pay compensation

equivalent to the price value as NEW

21 - The material must be returned during the opening hours of the warehouse (9.00–

18.00, mon-friday).

22 - Any delay in the return of the material is considered as an extension of the rental

itself, except for compensation for major damage, pursuant to Art. 1591 of the Italian Civil

Code.

23 - Each item missing when the equipment returns will be replaced by ALESSANDRO

SOZZI and charged to the customer, at the price of the new (European Market). In case of

imported items, client will be also charged of tax and import duties.

23a - If equipment is returned dirty or wet, client will be charged extra service for cleaning

and tidying the equipment 30eur per hour

23b – When client pay the damage compensation, Client does not become owner of the

broken items.

24 - If the return of the rented equipment takes place within 12.00, it is considered to

have ceased on the evening of the previous day.BOOKINGS AND RESERVATIONS

25– Bookings and reservations (items, people, transportation, recce, etc.) are considered

confirmed together with the exclusive and full acceptance of our Terms and Conditions.

26– Commitment on bookings and reservations is exclusive and it can be guaranteed only

if client provide the payment of a non refundable advance equal to the 33% of the

provided Cost Estimate.

27– Commitment on bookings and reservation is not guaranteed in any other forms

unless point n.26 is satisfied.

28– Availability of items, people, transportation, recce, etc. is guaranteed only if point

n.26 is satisfied.

29– ALESSANDRO SOZZI do not confirm any bookings and reservations and do not

guarantee commitment to the clients unless an advance is paid (minimum 33%). Points

38 and 39 still apply if cancellation occur accordingly to our terms - it apply also if the

advance is still not paid. Advance is non refundable.

30 – ALESSANDRO SOZZI can cancel anytime if point n.26 and n.29 are not satisfied

31– If ALESSANDRO SOZZI, SOZZIPHOTORENTAL, PAPARAZZI, items, people, equipment,

transportation, recce, etc. are not available for requested time and place we do not

assume any responsibilities for delayed shootings, the stop of a shooting, making the

rental fully independent and not related to any client work.

32 - ALESSANDRO SOZZI excludes any warranty or liability for any direct or indirect

damage suffered by the renter or third party, as a result of the inefficient operation of the

rented equipment (damage to the equipment, missing or delayed shooting, etc.) or not

availability of items, people, transportation, equipment, recce, etc.

PAYMENT33 - ALESSANDRO SOZZI applies the prices indicated in its price list.

34 - Payment, unless otherwise indicated, means cash or WIRE TRANSFER / BANK

TRANSFER.

35A - Invoices are issued weekly; we do not accept claims on invoices after 5 days from

their issue. Max timeframe for invoice isssue is 30 days. If projects consist of more than 1

day, please expect a final balance together with an invoice which will be issued within 30

days maximum. Invoices must be paid not later than 15 days from the issue or from the

date of the work if client is late at providing invoice details

35B - Invoices must be paid not later than 15 days from the date of isssue. The late

payment fees for overdue invoices is equal to 3% per each day of delay.

36A - The exclusive court of jurisdiction is the LITHUANIAN one.

36B - Any use, publishing or sharing of the footage produced trough our services is not

authorized and punished by law until the payment is not received.

37 - In case of use, the tax charges are due to the tenant.

CANCELLATION FEE

38– In case of last minute cancellation, the Service will be charged FULL FEE to the client if

cancellation happens beetween 0h and 48h from the start of the work.

39 - In case of cancellation, the Service will be charged HALF FEE to the client / renter if

cancellation happenss between 48h and 96h from the start of the work.

CREDITS

40 – When hiring Alessandro Sozzi as a PHOTOGRAPHER, LIGHT ARTIST, LIGHT

TECHNICIAN, credits on his name are mandatory when the work would be published.

41 – When renting the equipment from SOZZIPHOTORENTAL / PAPARAZZI and both

parties agree for a discount, we ask as in return to mention our rental services in your

social media using posts and/or stories.CUSTOMER CARE

42 – The 24/7 SERVICE is available after our regular opening hours (9.00 – 18.00)

supplying you with technical support anytime, anywhere. You should always contact our

24/7 SERVICE if equipment stops working on set, you are having acute technical difficulties

or you need extra equipment after our regular opening hours. 24/7 SERVICE FEE is 80

euros per hour.
